Like everything here, our Restaurant isn’t fussy, stuffy or old fashioned. Opened late in 2007, the Restaurant at Swanston can cater for up to 60 diners at one sitting.  Please call to choose a table and avoid disappointment.  We offer a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, stunning views across the Pentland Hills and north across the city of Edinburgh to Fife and a modern menu of wholesome and popular home-made dishes.

Wherever possible our ingredients are sourced from local producers and in some cases direct from our own livestock grazing on Swanston's 700 acre farm.  Head-chef, Gus Hannay, joined the team in November 2010 to help owner/operators Janie and Colin McClung continue the hard work put in over the first three years.  Swanston's own Highland beef, lamb and pork are all used in our menu.

While you’ll find our menu offers affordable dining, you’ll also find that we don’t compromise on quality. We’re working hard to forge a reputation for great tasting, seasonal food made from the very best ingredients.

Whether you’re looking for a lazy breakfast, quick lunch or family dinner, you’ll find the Restaurant at Swanston ready to welcome you.
