The Swanston lounge bar is not what you might expect. While other clubhouses around the country are strictly members only, we’ve opened our doors to all. No dress code, no rules about mobile phones. All you’ll find is a great place to relax, while you enjoy a view like no other over the surrounding countryside and across Edinburgh, right over to Fife.

Of course, we have a full range of beers, wines and spirits, as well as hot and cold soft drinks – and a range of light bar snacks. And, with two 50” High-Definition TV’s, showing both Sky HD Sports channels, we’ve the perfect place to soak up the latest big game (not to mention the best golf).  The TV volume is only turned up on special occasions in this bar.

The smaller golfer's bar/room on the ground-floor is the best place to view live sports if you like a more lively atmosphere.  This bar is also open to golfers and non-golfers alike. 

Our main brewery is Belhaven and along with Belhaven Best we have, Stewart's IPA, Belhaven Black plus a choice of Tenants or Budvar lager and Belhaven Light on tap. We will be introducing other 'guest' beers at different times of year.  Bottled beers and ciders available too: Stewarts,Becks, Stella, Budweiser, Corona, Magners as well as pear ciders.

Note: Bar closing times may vary depending on demand. The rooms are also open from 8am and hot drinks can be purchased  from a Flavia drinks machine in the ground-floor Function Bar prior to the start of service.

UNDER 18 POLICY
No one under the age of 18 will be allowed in the Golfers Bar whilst the bar is serving alcohol (usually 12 noon to 6pm at weekends only).
The main lounge bar is licensed for families including children till 11pm.
